Tom is a lifelong car enthusiast who has owned somewhere around a hundred cars, and has fixed all of them personally, only letting a garage near them for MOTs. That lifetime of tinkering, experimenting and generally refusing to leave things alone eventually led to an arguably irrational affection for the charismatic (if occasionally wobbly) P80-platform Volvo C70 cabriolet.

What started as a harmless hobby gradually spiralled into something much stranger: an obsession with the C70’s folding roof. After years of tinkering, testing, adjusting, swearing, re-adjusting, and eventual enlightenment, Tom now knows this mechanism better than most people know their children.

Roof replacements, lifter-strut rebuilds, alignment trickery, electrical gremlins, roof module calibration; if it’s part of a C70 cabriolet roof, Tom has probably fixed it at 11pm in the rain at least once.

Garage 303 exists because of all this. Expect honesty, patience, and a specialist who genuinely loves keeping these quirky, loveable cars on the road.
