C70 Loose Door Card Repair

Loose door cards on a C70 are a very common complaint. They come away at the top. It isn't a clip that's broken, sadly. The fibreboard back of the door card has a joint the whole length which comes unstuck.
We carefully remove the door card and bring into the workshop.
The old glue is cleaned, the whole seam is re-glued with a foaming PU adhesive for maximum strength, and clamped until the glue has set. Excess glue is trimmed off and the door card is refitted, using replacement trim clips if needed.
This takes approximately 90 mins whilst you wait for one door card, or 2hrs for both door cards.
