C70 Roof Rear Window Repair/Upgrade

The factory rear window uses heat activated glue, and it is quite common in the hot weather for the window to de-bond and sometimes fall out completely. This upgrade uses high strength, high quality polyurethane adhesive and a 12 month warranty. We also recommend this as a preventative treatment.

Following inspection, Tom will first repair the folded edge of the canvas using glue and clamps to ensure a crisp, strong edge. Next the canvas under the window will be rebonded to ensure it does not drop. Finally the outer canvas is glued to the screen, he will clean all surfaces, mask the canvas, apply windscreen adhesive primer (3M or equivalent), apply adhesive, secure in place using proprietary suction bonding clamps and tape, aligning the window carefully in the opening. Once dry the adhesive is trimmed to the edge of the canvas leaving a better-than-factory repair.

Occasionally the canvas will have stretched due to age resulting in a minor ripple or two, but Tom will inspect and explain this before commencing the repair.

Note if a repair has already been attempted then the repair may be refused, please send a photo for advice.

This repair comes with a 12 month warranty covering failure of the adhesive repair only. 

This is not a 'whilst you wait' service. This repair usually takes 2 - 3 days, so the vehicle will need to be left at Garage 303 for collection on completion.
